Philippe Starck has redesigned Baccarat’s Zénith collection with his usual talent, drawing on the tradition of black crystal – a colour that reveals the power and sculptural dimension of this emblematic creation. The Zénith collection is a line of traditional crystal chandeliers that Baccarat has been producing since the first half of the 19th century. It consists of bevelled, diamond-cut elements and twisted branches known as ‘bambou tors’ or ‘bamboo twists’. Since its creation, the Zénith chandelier has been admired all over the world and continues to light up extraordinary palaces and houses. Timeless and fascinating, it survives the centuries and becomes ever more beautiful with each new special order and each new interpretation by international designers.
