This work is inspired by the white magnolia tree, which symbolises eternal connectedness, and by the striking beauty of its flowers. How Thus was born Mokuren, a chandelier that combines the essential ingredients of the Japanese artist’s and Lladró’s work: nature, craftsmanship and design.
All the flowers that make up Mokuren are handmade. The warm light that penetrates through the translucent porcelain of the petals creates an enveloping illumination. Their structure, as complex as it is poetic, represents the branches of the magnolia tree and is made of black lacquered aluminium. The intensity of the LED lighting can be regulated.
