Inspired by the warehouse where the moulds and casts are kept, Kiki van Eijk (designer at the Eindhoven Academy) wanted to put these tools, from which all Saint-Louis creations emerge, in perspective. She gave each object in the Matrice collection the unique shape of a mould and decorated it with the hand-cut elements that define the company’s style. The Matrice collection is extended by two different models of small lamps: the small table lamp and the small wall lamp IP44. Saint-Louis is the oldest glass manufactory in France, whose roots go back to the XVI century. Since 1829, the manufactory has been exclusively dedicated to the production of crystal glassware, everyday crystal creations made by master glassblowers and glass cutters who are among the best in France.
