Philippe Stark modernises the traditional Zenith line and uses black smoked crystal to reinterpret a Baccarat icon. Retaining the original structure and decoration of the chandelier, Starck adds black shades lined with aluminium reflectors to enhance the effect of the light on the black crystal (must be ordered separately). The characteristic red, octagonal Baccarat crystal is here connected to a prism with spikes designed by Starck. The 24-light chandelier is a stunning and sumptuous showcase of black crystal. Black crystal is the quintessential ‘anti-chandelier’ and is the exact opposite of the transparency of clear crystal. The black lends great power to this classic form, revealing its sculptural dimension in a whole new way. The chandelier is a truly decorative object, a dazzling sculpture.
The chandelier is available in two versions – short: 74 cm (H) and long: 113 cm (H).
